2018/2019 hunting dates for Georgia released .Georgia Department of Natural Resources released its, Georgia hunting dates including regulations and bag limits.This information is posted to the public on there web-site to better inform Georgia hunting residents as to when the 2017/2018 hunting season opens,bag limits on diferent game, and hunting regulations specific to different counties of Georgia. The below hunting dates for Georgia only reflect Deer,Quail and turkey for a full list of dates and specific regulations visit the Georgia department of natural resources web-site.


Deer Archery either sex Sept 8th Oct 12, State wide.

12 per person state wide, no more than 10 may be antlerless and no more than 2 may be antlered. One of the 2 antlred deer must have at least 4 points, one inch or longer on one side of the antlers.

Extended Archery Jan 2-31

Either sex only for the following counties Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnette, and Rockdale.

Southern zone Oct 20th-Jan 13th

Turkey State wide March 24th - May 15th (2018)  3 gobblers per person

Quail state wide Nov 18th - Feb 28th 12 per day ( Quail hunting Plantations with a shooting preserve liscense Oct 1 - March 31 no limit on birds)
