Deer Hunting Georgia Rates Include:

Deer hunting packages are 4 days in length and are semi-guided. In some cases, a less experienced hunter may want to seek a full-time hunting guide. At Gray Ghost Plantation, we can easily arrange this for you at the time of booking.
All prices listed are per person
Meals are $50.00/day per hunter.
The lodge includes wifi, dish tv, and all the comforts of home. Please view our lodge photos in the Gallery.
Non-Hunter Lodging fee is $200.00 per night plus meals.
75% deposit due when the hunt is booked. The remaining amount is due when you arrive.
There will be no refunds on deposits if you do not show up for your hunt, no exceptions.
In case of emergency, you may substitute another hunter or hunt later within the same hunting season if there is availability.
Deposits will not transfer to the following hunting season.
$700.00 Fine for shooting Bucks under our prescribed standards, Must be 16 inches minimum outside, 8 points or better and at least 3.5 years or older No exceptions
$500.00 Fine for shooting a spike buck or a button buck
The hunter may still continue to hunt for his Buck after penalty is paid.

Georgia Deer Hunting Information

We utilize deer hunting blinds for our fall Whitetail Deer Hunts, such as elevated shooting houses and metal ladder stands. Also, we allow you to bring your climbing stands if you prefer. We are very safety conscious and conduct a safety meeting before all our Whitetail hunts in Georgia begin. All deer hunters must bring a hunter-orange safety vest and a safety harness before hunting on the plantation.

The food plots are maintained year-round to be an optimal food source for the deer herd
Deer feeders are also utilized year-round within the Georgia Department of Natural Resources guidelines.
We use a high-protein feed that allows for maximum antler growth
Deer food plots are planted with clover, wheat, rye, soybean, and corn. This mix ensures that deer take advantage of the food we provide for them.

When harvesting a whitetail deer, we assist in the retrieval process if necessary. We’ll bring it back to the Gray Ghost Plantation hunting lodge, fit with a cleaning station set up to process your deer – with or without our assistance. Furthermore, there’s a professional processor within 15 minutes of the lodge so that your deer can be processed and packaged.

How Does Deer Hunting Work at Gray Ghost Plantation?

Gray Ghost Plantation staff will greet hunters
We help you settle into your accommodations once you have unpacked your gear in the cabin.
We recommend arriving at the time provided on your hunting confirmation to ensure enough daylight to complete check-in, safety meeting, and waiver signing.

Hunting days

Hunters will be instructed to meet at the main lodge in the morning for coffee and breakfast before heading out on their Whitetail Deer hunt.
After the hunt, guests will enjoy a home-cooked lunch at the main lodge.
During lunch, guides will discuss with each group the preferred time to head out for the afternoon Whitetail hunt. You can always take a nap after your meal, or get back to hunting, just let us know.
Hunters can then return to their hunting stands for the afternoon. If hunters wish to stay in the stand all day, arrangements can be made, with lunch provided.

We provide all three meals during your scheduled deer hunting days
We serve a continental breakfast before the early Whitetail hunt
We provide a southern homestyle lunch after the morning hunt.
The evening meal, served after the afternoon hunt, features some of the best grilled foods.

Weapon of choice with enough ammunition for your 4 days of hunting
Clothing and camouflage for both warm and cold weather, including layers
Rain suit if rain is forecasted
